This recipe for charlotte with berries and almonds has crossed my eyes dozens of times, every time I had to prepare a dessert I thought about this charlotte but, as often happens to me, I never had all the ingredients to prepare it. Last Sunday the Charlotte with berries and almonds came back to my mind .. I open the fridge and I had everything, so I decided to prepare it and take it to my parents' house where it was much appreciated. The flavor of this dessert is very particular, the cream is really super, too bad you didn't have the opportunity to garnish it but you will certainly do better. If this weekend you want to try your hand at preparing a dessert with a fresh and particular flavor, this is the recipe for you, if you try it, let me know what you think;)
How to make the Charlotte with berries and almonds
Work the butter with the sugar then place it in a bowl together with the philadelphia yo and mix until it forms a smooth cream.
Add the chopped almonds and 50 ml of contreau to the cream cheese
Mix until you get a smooth and homogeneous cream.
Line a mold with the ladyfingers and wet them with the milk mixed with the remaining contreau. (Everything went smoothly for me, but if you don't want to risk the ladyfingers sticking to the mold, line the mold with cling film)
Pour a layer of almond cream, level as much as possible and cover with a layer of berries.
Cover with a layer of ladyfingers and brush them with the late and contreau.
Spread another layer of almond cream and cover with the berries then with the wet ladyfingers and more cream and berries, finishing with a layer of ladyfingers.
Put the charlotte with berries and almonds in the fridge for 3 hours.
Then turn the charlotte upside down on a serving dish and decorate it with berries and icing sugar (unfortunately I didn't have time to make the decorations :()
Cut the charlotte with berries and almonds into slices and serve
