Happy New Year everyone, I chose sweet and sour carrots as the first recipe of this 2013 because they are a colorful, simple and tasty side dish just as I would like my life to be surrounded this year. Instead of the classic carrots I used baby carrots that have the shape of normal carrots, but are much smaller and with this little trick I managed to intrigue my husband for the taste and he also appreciated;)
Of course, you can prepare sweet and sour carrots with the classic ones by cutting the latter into slices and using the same procedure described in the recipe. That's all for today, I greet you and I still send you my best wishes, kisses: *
How to make sweet and sour carrots
Bring the water to a boil, add salt and boil the baby carrots for 5 minutes.
Drain the carrots and brown them in a pan in which you have melted some butter.
Now add the sugar and deglaze with the vinegar.
When cooked, add the chopped sage.
Let cool and serve the sweet and sour carrots
