I like any puff pastry recipe and especially to follow this method of "knitting" the puff pastry, because it gives it a very nice look. I make it either as a dessert and fill it with fruit or salted. This time I show you a salty option, for which I used: pesto, with which I greased the base of the puff pastry, then I put slices of Desenviș Delaco cheese and baked kapia peppers on it. Above I sprinkled a "rain" of black and white sesame mix.

I make this puff pastry recipe with baked peppers and cheese quite often. In addition to a type of cheese, which I must put, I like to make various variants. So you can use any vegetables, but also sausages if you want to make interesting combinations.

As I said at the beginning, 2-3 pieces of this puff pastry can be put in a casserole and taken in the package with food at school or at work. If I think about it, you can also prepare it if you have guests at the table and you want to serve it with something tasty, but also on various occasions or holidays.

INGREDIENTS
1 sheet of puff pastry (400 gr.)
100 gr. slices of cheese Desviș Delaco
2 tablespoons green pesto
3 kapia peppers or baked bell peppers
1 or
mix of white sesame seeds and black sesame (or choose one of them)

* I used baked kapia peppers in a jar, bought from the supermarket, but you can bake them or grill them at home

PREPARATION

Leave the puff pastry to thaw, then place it on a baking sheet. Visually divide the puff pastry into 3 parts, and in the middle add the pesto and grease it along its entire length (as in the picture).

Over pesto add 3 slices of cheese, and over them add baked kapia peppers. Add another layer of cheese slices over the peppers.

Cut the side edges with a knife and try to make the same number of strips on both sides. First gather the top and bottom over the filling, then the side strips, one on the left, alternating with one on the right, as in a braid.

After you have finished knitting the puff pastry, spread it on the surface with the beaten egg, then sprinkle a mixture of black and white sesame seeds on top.

Put the tray in the preheated oven at 180 ° C for 35-40 minutes, until you see that it browns nicely on top.

After baking, take the tray out of the oven, let the puff pastry with baked peppers and cheese cool for about an hour, then cut into pieces and serve.
