DIY Iced Peach Jasmine Green Tea Recipe for This Summer!
Celebrate the wonderful summer with a refreshing glass of iced tea. Forget the sugar-loaded ice tea packs from the supermarket. Instead go for this highly nutritious and anti-oxidant rich jasmine tea recipe flavored with fresh peaches and natural agave syrup.
Experience this amazing taste as a result of perfect synergies between the ingredients used. The flavor of peaches are highly compatible with the base green tea taste. Its somewhat thick juices also give the iced tea an excellent body.
The agave syrup has a somewhat more neutral taste relative to honey, and it’s light flavor perfectly matches the fresh and flowery taste of jasmine tea. The colour of the syrup also give the tea a somewhat more warm and beautiful looking colour.
Jasmine Ginger Iced Green Tea Recipe
Some flavors are made for each other. Yeah, we all know about chocolate and peanut butter, but there are many more flavor pairings to explore. One of my favorite pairings is floral jasmine plus spicy ginger. Here, I’ve brought the two together in a refreshing mocktail. The mix of jasmine green tea plus sparkly ginger beer, lime and strawberries has been my favorite drink of the summer.
Jasmine Ginger Iced Green Tea Recipe
1 wedge lime
4 ounces *brewed jasmine green tea, chilled
4 ounces ginger beer, chilled (I used Gosling’s)
Garnishes: Fresh sliced strawberries and additional lime wedges
Fill a glass with ice cubes. Squeeze the juice of a lime wedge over the ice and drop the lime wedge into the glass. Add the chilled green tea and ginger beer stir gently. Garnish with strawberries and additional lime wedges.
*Tip: For brewed tea, I used Rishi organic loose-leaf jasmine green tea. I steeped 1 tablespoon of tea in 2 cups of hot, but not boiling water (180 degrees F) for 3 minutes. The brewed tea should be cooled at room temperature, and then chilled in the refrigerator.

Creamy Iced Jasmine Green Tea
I’ve always loved jasmine green tea served with a little honey and cream. So well balanced-smooth, sweet, and slightly bitter. It’s been pretty hot around here the last few weeks, so I’ve started to take my tea iced. In a sudden inspiration, I made that same creamy jasmine combination iced. I loved it! I only wish that I could buy this at some coffee shop when out and about, because it’s delicious. I guess I will have to content myself with the more frugal choice of making it myself and bringing it with me. I made mine with coconut milk instead of cream, but you could certainly use cream or half and half.
It was the perfect pick me up during a busy and sad time for our family. Thanks for all of the well wishes we’ve received from you all. We are doing well, though sad and grieving. We know that Sono’s loss will continue to manifest itself in different ways in the years to come. We still have some family in the area for the next few days and will be busy doing things with them, but after that we are looking forward to, and hoping for a little more stability in our schedules and lives.
And I am very much looking forward to being able to cook for myself and our little family. The last 6 weeks or so we have been sharing meals with the extended family and eating out more often then we prefer. I have a few new recipe ideas to try out this week that will probably end up on the blog! (A few of which are for the For the Love of Food and Books series).

- 4 jasmine green tea bags (or equivalent in loose tea)
2 cups of hot water
2 tablespoons honey
1/2 cup of full fat coconut milk (unsweetened)
2 cups of cold water
Plenty of ice
In a temperature appropriate container, steep the tea in 2 cups of hot water for ten minutes. Remove the tea bags from the water. Dissolve the honey in the hot water and then add the 2 cups of cold water and the coconut milk. Serve over plenty of ice.

Here we balance the mildly grassy flavor and slightly astringent mouthfeel of green tea with honey and lemon. Oversteeped green tea can be bitter, so don’t brew it any longer than 3 minutes. And be sure to steep in simmering water: water that looks like it’s steaming, with little bubbles, but not boiling.
How to Make Exotically Scented Jasmine Tea at Home
There are three potential areas of any given store that capture my attention more than others – the nursery/florist areas, bulk herbs (duh), and the tea aisle. The first because, well, plants and flowers. The second because I am an herbalist and a home cook – I am always out of something. And finally, the tea aisle… While it is true that I make most of our teas – the allure of the array of teas in their sleek, quasi-vintage packaging is very real to me. Occasionally, I indulge in one of these selections. Jasmine Tea has been a particular favorite. But, lo and behold – jasmine tea can be replicated at home too.
And I have done just that. I guess I need to set my sights on a new tea “crush”.
Jasmine tea tastes of exoticness – something I am squarely not with my blue jeans and dishwater blonde hair. It is a tea that suggests sensual longing glances, and the tender brush of a secret lover’s skin (sexy mystery being not in the vocabulary of this dedicated farm wife in flannel shirts and rubber boots). It is just a tantalizing tea.

As exotic as I may have made it out to sound, jasmine tea is merely green or black tea (Camellia sinensis) that is fragranced with jasmine flowers. I am particularly fond of Assam black tea or Rooibos green tea from Mountain Rose Herbs as the base for this scented tea. This tea is easily achieved by layering tea and fresh jasmine flowers in a vessel, adding a weight of some kind, pressing, and allowing the aroma to perfume the tea for at least 24 hours, up to a few weeks.
When choosing the right “jasmine” to scent your tea, choose that specifically of the Jasminum species such as J. officinale, J. sambac, or J. polyanthum. These flowers should be plucked during the warmth of the day when the dew has dried, as buds or freshly opened flowers. I drop them directly onto a layer of tea in a large jar with a wide opening. This can be done indefinitely while jasmine is in bloom, always “sandwiching” the blossoms between layers of tea. It would be wise to pluck from plants like this once they have been established in your own garden, free from spray and/or chemical fertilizers avoid plucking flowers from new nursery stock as they are likely a contamination risk. NOTE: Do not use “star jasmine/confederate jasmine/jessamine” (Trachelospermum jasminoides) or “Carolina jessamine” (Gelsemium sempervirens) – which is toxic, not exotic.

Sea Salt Iced Green Tea
This Sea Salt Iced Green Tea recipe is another one that has been inspired by 85C Bakery! My two favorite drinks that they have is the Sea Salt Coffee and the Iced Sea Salt Jasmine Green Tea. Both are exceptional drinks and I highly recommend them if you are not watching your carb intake!
But if you’re here visiting LCA, you’re most likely carb conscious which is why I have created a low carb/keto version of this Sea Salt Iced Green Tea!
Beware this drink can be addicting! Very addicting! The creamy frothiness paired with a hint of salt layered over the refreshing aromatic sweetened jasmine tea is really what drinks are made of!
And it’s super easy to make as well! You start with your basic brew of tea, which can done in numerous of ways but we prefer using a bottom dispensing tea pot. It’s easy, fast, and requires minimal cleaning after you’re done.
After your tea is brewed, we simply add some heavy cream and sea salt into a mixing bowl and whip that up with a mixer, lather the foam on top along with a sweetener of your choice and you’re done!
We recommend doubling up the ingredients and keeping the whipped cream mixture covered in the refrigerator so you can use it daily in your morning or afternoon tea! It should keep in the fridge for up a week without any issues!
For this one, the only unique ingredient you will need is Swerve/Monkfruit and Jasmine Loose Leaf Tea, both can be purchased on Amazon or local specialty market.

Total Time 10M
- 1 tsp Jasmine Loose Leaf Tea (or green tea or oolong tea)
- 12oz Hot Water
- 1/2 Cup Whipping Cream
- 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
- 2 tsp Swerve/Monkfruit
1) Gather all the ingredients.
2) Use your preferred method to steep tea leaves. My go-to is using the bottom dispensing tea pot for the simplicity and ease. Note – I recommend steeping the tea for at least 5 minutes or longer to ensure a strong brew.
3) In a serving glass, pour tea over ice, add Swerve/Monkfruit and stir to dissolve. You can adjust sweetness level to your liking (we recommend adjusting per tsp of sweetener).
4) In a medium mixing bowl, add whipping cream and sea salt. Beat on high until thick and frothy but still runny. About 2-3 minutes with a hand mixer.
5) Spoon whipped cream mixture on top of iced green tea and top with an optional sprinkle of sea salt.

A refreshing zinger: Iced Jasmine Mint Green Tea
It is so hot outside I can hardly function. Almost 80 degrees outside and no air conditioning inside. At least I was somewhat productive by managing to get outside and water my garden while my kids enjoyed the sprinkler. I was so happy to see so my mint thriving I decided to make a pitcher of one of my favorite types of iced tea, jasmine-mint-lemon-honey-and green tea. Yes I know the post title doesn’t mention the lemon or honey, but it would have been too long to include them. But trust me, the lemon and honey are just as important as the tea bags themselves. If you don’t like jasmine, mint, or green tea you may be surprised by this recipe, especially on ice. Perfect for National Iced Tea Day tomorrow. It is a zinger! Enjoy.
Iced Jasmine Mint Green Tea Recipe with Honey and Lemon
Makes 1 gallon.
4 green tea bags
4 jasmine tea bags
3-6″ sprigs of mint
1 lemon cut into slices
1/2 cup of honey
8 cups of water
8 cups of ice
In a medium pan add 8 cups of water, tea bags and honey. Boil for 5 minutes and turn off heat. Add mint sprigs to the pan and allow everything to steep for 15 minutes.
Remove tea bags and pour the tea and mint into a gallon sized pitcher filled with ice and lemon slices. Enjoy!
Sidenotes: This tea isn’t overly sweet and if you prefer a more sweeter tea, add sugar.
Jasmine Grapefruit Green Iced Tea
This is a winning combination! I made some sangria the other day and had leftover grapefruit simple syrup and I’ve put it to great use here. Very light, slightly floral and bright in flavour, this is a lovely and refreshing drink for the hot summer (or as it is right now where I am, a hot spring) coming up.
Grapefruit Simple Syrup (Simplified version of this recipe)
Makes 2 cups
Zest of one pink grapefruit
1 cup granulated sugar
1 cup water
Zest the grapefruit and add it to the granulated sugar. Stir the zest into the sugar, making sure to use your muscles. Cover the mixture and let it sit for an hour. Bring 1 cup of water to a boil and add the sugar. Stir to combine. Let it boil for a couple of minutes. Take off heat, strain out zest (don’t be too fussy), and set aside to cool.
Jasmine Grapefruit Green Iced Tea
Makes 2 litres
8 jasmine green tea bags
1 litre boiling water
1/2 cup grapefruit simple syrup
Juice of half a grapefruit
Plenty of ice
Lemon slices, for garnish
Add the boiling water to the tea bags and let them steep for five minutes. Remove the tea bags and let cool enough to pour into your serving container. Add the simple syrup, grapefruit juice, ice to the top of the two litre container and the lemon slices. Pour into ice-filled glasses and garnish with more lemon slices.

Jasmine Green Bubble Tea
Bubble tea (also known as boba tea or pearl milk tea) is a very popular drink that originated from Taiwan. There are generally 2 main varieties of bubble tea: a tea-based beverage that is mixed with milk and sugar or a fruit-flavored beverage. Regardless of the type of bubble tea, they’ll inevitably contain a healthy serving of black, chewy tapioca pearls (boba) at the bottom of the drink. You typically use a wider straw to drink bubble tea so that with every sip of tea, you’re also enjoying a few tapioca pearls. They’re very addictive!
The only downsides to buying bubble tea are that they usually contain too much sugar and they’re often made from powdered formula. That’s why I’m sharing this simple Jasmine Green Bubble Tea. It’s very easy to make and you can adjust the strength of the tea and the sweetness to your liking. Jasmine Green tea is perfect for this recipe because it is a very strong-flavored, bright tea that holds up well with milk.
