- 10 tablespoons cocoa
- vanilla sugar 5 sachets
- rum essence 2 -3 bottles

We grind biscuits but not very small,
In a saucepan melt the margarine, then water, sugar and cocoa,
When the composition has cooled, we pour it over the biscuits and then we add the walnut and the rum essence, we taste to see if we still need sugar,
Put foil on the table and form the biscuit salami.
We put coconut on it and let it cool for a few hours.
Fasting biscuit salami
Because we feel the need to eat something sweet, I thought I would share with you the following recipe, which is made quite quickly and is not so expensive.
For the preparation we need the following ingredients:
- 500 gr. popular biscuits (simple)
- 200 gr of sugar
- A few pieces of shit
- 100 gr. walnut (ground, or finely chopped) as desired
- 2 sachets of vanilla sugar
- rum essence or even rum if we have it in the house
- 50 gr. raisins
- 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa
- 1 packet of Rama margarine
Take biscuits and crumble, rub with a packet of margarine and cocoa. Add vanilla sugar, rum essence, raisins, diced shit and walnuts.
Separately, caramelize the sugar and add 150 ml. bring the water to a boil until the sugar is completely dissolved, set aside and leave to cool a little. After that, the syrup obtained is mixed with the other ingredients to obtain a crust that is easy to shape. The shell thus obtained is spread on an aluminum foil or food foil, we roll it carefully giving it the shape of a salami. Let it cool for 2-3 hours and then it can be served.
Step 1: With the help of your hands, grind the biscuits into unequal pieces. Some smaller some larger & # 8211 doesn't matter & # 8211 the important thing is to shred them to an acceptable size.
Step 2: Add the cocoa powder over the biscuits and mix well so that we cover all the biscuits with a thin layer of cocoa.
Step 3: Cocoa butter is a natural vegetable fat obtained from cocoa beans. It is solid at room temperature and therefore it is necessary to melt it. Melt the cocoa butter through the Baine marrie procedure. We add it over the chopped biscuits.
Step 4: Melt the coconut oil by the same procedure as the cocoa butter. Add the coconut oil over the biscuits.
Step 5: Add the honey and almond milk and mix well until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
Step 6: You can use grated orange peel and brown or golden raisins. I advise you to use the peel of an organic orange so as to avoid pesticides and insecticides.
Now all we have to do is enjoy this goodness of biscuit salami with our loved ones and relive memories related to childhood.

I missed the last few days of a dessert of my childhood - the unmistakable biscuit salami. It had an irreplaceable taste with a lot of rum essence that seemed like it and I felt when I bought the biscuits with my mind already in unspeakable joy that enveloped us all, crowding us on the plate full of appetizing slices from which the cocoa dust was still falling. which had not even managed to wrap the prepared salami well.
However, I will try to enrich the poor recipe from then on ingredients, as we all do now, when we have several options at hand, and I will replace margarine with butter, along with multicolored shit with fruit and cocoa flavor, walnut, cinnamon and, of course, a little brandy.
- 600 gr. Petit Beurre biscuits
- 100 gr. nut
- 300 gr. bullshit
- 150 ml. cognac
- esenta de rom
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- 25 gr. cocoa
- 50 gr. sweetener
- 250 ml. milk
- 150 gr. butter
I prefer to feel consistent pieces of biscuits in the salami, so I break them by hand and put them in a large bowl next to the slightly fried walnut and finely chopped with a knife.
I add the cubes of shit that I gave before through vanilla-flavored powdered sugar, then sprinkle cinnamon and cocoa powder.
I mix them all well and pour the milk that I heated very little with butter and the sweetener that I use today as a substitute for sugar.
I quickly homogenize the composition so that all the biscuits soften evenly, I add the rum essence, and at the end I put the 150 ml of brandy.
After one last tasting before putting it in the cold, I form two generous salami sticks that I wrap tightly in cellophane foil and let them cool for at least 4 & # 8211 5 hours.
Before serving, I prepare three plates with coconut, cocoa and finely chopped pistachios, so that I can adapt the delicious biscuit salami to all tastes around me.
It was consumed quite quickly and had the well-deserved success of the traditional dessert from childhood, although it lacked the strong aroma of rum essence that I felt then in any homemade cake.
Vegan Biscuit Salami (Fasting)
- 250 gr simple biscuits (popular)
- 250 gr sugar
- 100 gr dark chocolate
- 100 g margarine
- 50 gr cocoa
- 100 gr walnut
- 120 ml coconut milk / water
- rum essence
- vanilla prune sugar
Method of preparation
Put the biscuits in a tray and put them in the hot oven for a few minutes (but without browning them too much). Crush the walnut and fry it in the pan for 2-3 minutes. Put it aside.
Pour the liquid into a saucepan with the sugar. Leave on the fire, stirring gently, until the syrup binds. Then sift the cocoa and mix well so as not to form lumps.
Then put the broken chocolate pieces and margarine. Leave on the fire until you get a creamy liquid. Pour it hot over the broken biscuits.
Flavor with rum essence to taste and place the composition of fasting biscuit salami on a food foil sprinkled with breadcrumbs and vanilla powdered sugar.
Squeeze the ends of the foil and shape the fasting biscuit salami and leave it to cool for a few hours (or overnight) before slicing it.

Who doesn't love biscuit salami? Soft and fragrant, this dessert was enjoyed by many of us as children.
Biscuit salami is a delicacy consumed in many countries, even under different names. In Turkey, it is called a "mosaic cake". In Greece, it is called 'Mosaiko' or 'Kormos'. In our country, the name is given by the cylindrical appearance of the dessert and the mosaic inside, which is reminiscent of a classic salami. It is said that Romanian biscuit salami appeared in response to the food crisis of the communist period.
Basically, biscuit salami has a few simple ingredients that can be found in any kitchen: biscuits, cocoa, butter and eggs. But what do we do if we fast or follow a vegan diet? In either of these two situations, the answer is simple: fasting biscuit salami!
Fasting biscuit salami retains the special taste of the original dessert, without the need for animal ingredients. Here's how easy it is to prepare:
- Crush the biscuits well and mix with 150 ml of water and rum essence. Allow to soak.
- In a saucepan, put sugar, cocoa and the rest of the water. Mix well and leave on the fire until boiling.
- When bubbles begin to form on the surface, take the pan off the heat and add margarine to the mixture.
- While still hot, pour the cocoa mixture over the biscuits, along with the raisins.
- If the mixture is too soft, you can crumble a few more biscuits. If it is too strong, you can add a few teaspoons of water.
- When you get the desired consistency, roll everything with cling film and let the salami cool.
- Serve sliced salami with a good tea.
